Physicist’s Radiosurgery Research Published in Medical Journal

Research co-authored by Austin CyberKnife’s Jim Hevezi was published in the February issue of the Journal of the American College of Radiology (JACR). With research partner Dr. Mahadevappa Mahesh of Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Hevezi studied the effects of reduced-dose CT techniques for radiotherapy planning CT scans.

Dr. Hevezi and Dr. Mahesh found that for radiotherapy planning CT scans, reduced-dose CT techniques may not be appropriate on the basis of obtaining sufficient image quality to allow for a diagnosis.
