Darrin has been working with the CyberKnife System since 2008 and has been at Austin CyberKnife for over two years.
He graduated as an X-Ray technologist from Salt Lake Community College in 2005 and received his radiation therapist degree from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
In his role as lead radiation therapist, Darrin operates the Cyberknife that delivers high dose radiation to the tumor sight indicated by the radiation oncologist. He makes sure that the radiation prescription given by the radiation oncologist is delivered correctly.
What Darrin enjoys most about his job are the people that Austin CyberKnife gets to help. He loves getting to know who he is treating and that he is helping them with the hard situation they are going through.
In his spare time, Darrin is an avid soccer player and devoted family man. He has five kids and a niece in his home ranging in ages 17 to 1. Five of the kids play soccer and Darrin is a coach for one of their teams. The kids are also involved in basketball, cross country and swim team, keeping Darrin a busy man.
